History

It all began on the 9th October 1975 with the purchase of the hydroelectric plant on the Albarine, upstream of Tenay, in the department of Ain.  It was bought by Jacques Piot through the SNC Piot, Hubert & Co.  The Tenay plant 400m downstream was bought in March 1976.

The site, then in ruins since being decommissioned in 1965, was completely rebuilt by Mr Piot who installed four Francis turbines (2 Goulut & Borne, one Boussant, one Magnat Simon) and a propeller turbine.

The average production was 3.2 million kWh for drop heights ranging from 5m to 13.5 m.

During the drought of 1976 and the resale of the two plants, Mr Piot experienced difficulties finding a buyer, and thought it would be a good idea to create a company linking Buyers and Sellers of plants.  Thus HYDRO SERVICES CONSULTANTS (HSC)  was created on the 1st October 1977.

The offices were initially based in Bois Guillaume in the suburbs of Rouen, before relocating to Franqueville St Pierre until 2007.

Due to his training at Gadzarts (engineer and mechanic) Piot participated in numerous renovations of hydroelectric plants.  In September 2001, HSC was involved in the sale of more than 200 plants, achieved 12 plant exchanges (Trougemont 650 KW, Sapois 600 KW in 1978 and Vannier 300 KW in the Vosges, St Philibert Risle in Normandy, St Pourcain sur Sioule...), and renovated 23 existing plants (500 KW Grimbosc in Calvados, Brebieres 200 KW in the Pas de Calais...).

At that time the area that he covered was limited mainly to France, with some ancillary activity in Portugal and Spain.

One of the best sales of HSC was the group disposal of the 7 plants in the Vaudois family of Millers in 1993.  Located primarily on the Serein, the Seine and the Armançon, these plants still belong to the company Icaunaise d'Electricité today.

In 2006, now aged 76, Jacques Piot decided to transfer control of HSC.

Antoine Guibert,  a young engineer of the ISIM, having previously worked for 2 years in fossil fuels in Paris, collaborated with Piot before renaming it HSC ENVINERGY TRANSACTIONS in early 2010.  The offices were moved from Franqueville St Pierre to Sète in Hérault, to be closer to the hydroelectric plants situated mainly in the Alpes, the Pyrénées and the Massif Central.

From 2007 to 2014, the number of plants sold by ENVINERGY TRANSACTIONS was 101, including total cessation of building activity, key in hand and renovation.

From 2007, diversification into selling wind farms was carried out by ENVINERGY TRANSACTIONS through wind farms and hydroelectric projects held by producers of hydroelectric power.

In 2009, the activity of selling project and photovoltaic solar power plants began.
