Haute Vienne: With a gross head of over 8 m, this former EDF plant was built in the early 1900s. The double-regulated Kaplan turbine, directly coupled to the generator, requires complete renovation. With a head of 15.5 m for a maximum turbined flow of 55 m3/s, this plant has a pressure tunnel carrying water to the plant, which was built between 1993 and 1995. Benefiting from grandfathered water rights (fondé en titre) for 200 kW, the current plant was built in 1984 with 2 Dumont Kaplan turbines. The head is 4.5 m for output of close to 1.5 GWh/year. Capacity increase to 400 kW possible. Asset sale.

Located near Toulouse, this plant has several small turbines for a head of around 2.8 m. Average annual output is 5.3 GWh for annual revenue of €375k excl. VAT. Capacity increase for a 20-year EDF H07 contract: forecast output of 6.4 GWh/year for revenue of €530k excl. VAT, works costing €1.4M. Sale of 100% of the shares of the company owning the plant.

Authorised for a capacity of 257 kW in 1979, this micro hydropower plant built in a lock has a head of approximately 1.75 m for a diverted flow of 15 m3/s. Average annual output of 1,200,000 kWh for revenue of €86k excl. VAT under an EDF 97-07 contract expiring in 2012. Sale of the company, average condition, new 20-year EDF H07 contract possible.
