Net Zero Open

A first edition marked by excellence

The 1st renewables tennis tournament (Net Zero Open) brought together more than 80 renewable energy professionals at the Mouratoglou Academy, in a setting conducive to strategic thinking, cross-company dialogue and conviviality.

Discussions were enriched by high-quality talks, including one by Pâris Mouratoglou, who shared nearly half a century of experience in the sector. His account, both clear-sighted and inspiring, traced the major turning points in the development of renewables while opening up clear perspectives on the challenges ahead. He pointed out that the dynamics at work in the sector offer considerable development potential, capable of fuelling innovation and investment through to 2100.

The event was also praised for the richness of its networking, with several participants highlighting the depth and relevance of the meetings and talks. These included the conference by Paul Elfassi and Joseph Fonio, alongside Laure Verhaeghe, on understanding risk in renewable project investment, as well as the keynote by François Gemenne on European energy issues and their economic and geopolitical implications.

This new format confirms the industry's desire to come together differently, to think collectively about the conditions for a successful energy transition.
